High-Grade.

Launched in 2020, designed after having listened to our wincher’s community to fulfill another need.

The PCW4000 features a centrifugal clutch that activates when you pull the rope. The more you pull, the more throttle you give. When the tension on the rope is released, the drum stops spinning and the Progress Capture System (PCS) holds the load flawlessly in position! A simple lateral movement is all it takes to disengage the rope. Easy to secure and easy to disengage!

This model is powered by the 360° inclinable 4-stroke Honda GX50 engine, 50-state compliant*, for smooth performance and reliability, offering a remarkable pulling force of 1,000 kg (2,200 lb). Add a pulley system of two double pulleys; you can pull up to five times (5x) the pulling capacity, for a total of 5,000 kg (11,000 lb)!

And like all our portable capstan winches, there is no limit to the pulling distance thanks to the capstan principle.

  • Unleaded gasoline, 86 octane or higher
  • Centrifugal clutch
  • Drum size: 76 mm

*Manufacturing date of the actual engine on the winch is 2023

*Note: the PCS cannot be installed on other pulling winches mainly because the other models don't have a centrifugal clutch and the PCS acts as the throttle on the PCW4000, which cannot be replicated on direct shafted winches.

Safe and efficient

Bought this winch for a moose hunt. I wanted a winch that was safe, keeping body parts out of the process and line of fire, and efficient where it does all the work instead of me. I haven’t used it on the moose hunt yet but I have used it to pull a stuck 3/4 ton pick up out of the mud while on a scouting trip in northern Maine. I used two snatch blocks for a three to one advantage. Pulled the truck out with little effort. THANKS PORTABLE WINCH FOR AN AWESOME PRODUCT.

Hung up Ash trees

I have used this winch to pull 12 to 16 inch ash trees that were hung up in adjacent trees. I purchased two additional double pulleys to increase the winch strength. The winch had enough pulling force to lift one of the trees off the ground, on the angle, before pulling it out of the adjacent tree. Portable winch has YouTube videos that show an example of a block and tackle system to increase the force of the winch. Very satisfied.
